Yellow vented bulbul, yesterday's bird completed

At the club

It has been a busy day. Finally tracked down Auntie Jo and she said she didn't want to have anything to do with anything, so at least we have gotten an answer. And we know she's still alive. I understand that she experienced a life altering change over twenty years ago, but the asshole who was her husband was no different from, I would say, 85% of men. Cold, unpleasant and selfish. OK, maybe human beings, but definitely men. However, it is not a reason to just sink into a collapsed souffle heap and cut yourself off from family and friends - and children. And of course people are going to do hurtful things to you especially children who will want to remain in contact with their parent, no matter how useless and hurtful they have been - but sure, what can you do? You could possibly just grow up.

Well, at least she's told me that we are no longer to count her in. It is what it is, but at least we can move on.

So, next steps. It did finally rain a little yesterday. So depressing how the weather is being drier and hotter. And of course everything is becoming more expensive because of the Gulf War. As if it wasn't already so fucking expensive. But it is what it is.

Anyway.

We finally managed to make it to the club yesterday and order enough food to feed all of us for today as well. Ma enjoyed the club and we were all good. Those are the important things. Ma looked very tired yesterday though. For the first time, she looked exhausted by everything. I really felt for her. I am actually super tired myself, but just as with Pa's passing, I am not really letting myself feel how tired I am. Ma now relies on me, just as once upon a time I relied on her, so it's time to pay the debt with gratitude.

Today's schedule:

Mass            Blog
                    Run
Exercise
        Market
Rest             Admin - Will, Personal (Jemma)
                    Swim
        Clean kitchen
Exercise
Park            Park
        Dinner
                    Duolingo

I'm very pleased that we managed to arrest the sore on Ma's back. And that we have sorted her feet out. To think that all is needed is a bit of attention. Somethings are easily sorted. Somethings, not so.

I'm enjoying reading the Steiner lectures on Between Death and Life... it's fascinating and does resonate. It makes a weird kinda sense. I'm glad I have this to refer to now.
