23.5.25 - Evenings

Image
There are moments in life which linger - forever. Forever and ever. I had a dream about someone I hadn't seen for over a decade and in the dream it was as no time had passed. The dream ended when he was shot in the back, at the base of his spine. I got up - it was a total shock.  I couldn't understand how much was left in the breach. I got ChatGPT to write a poem about the genocide in Gaza in the style of Emily Dickinson - I also had it rewrite the story of Inanna's descent to her sister but translated into Neolithic times. They replaced the characters alright, but I'm sure if I had asked the prompt to do more it would have been the exact story which I would have agreed to. What was lost? The delight of creation. Being able to create the thing which came forth - and the unexpected nature of the story which appears beneath your fingers. Speaking of unexpected stories...

19.5.25 - So the genocide continues

Isnotreal is now in its completely mad phase. It what happens when people double down on mistakes. The thing is that there are now a few people there who are saying the genocide should be stopped. However, they can't go back. They can't go back to Europe. They can't go back to wherever it is they are supposed to come from. The land which was occupied by the Romans just after Christ, when they kicked them out - that land has ...

18.5.25 - Holywood by the Sea

Image
The iconic view of the lough through the railway bridge - like a picture frame The view up High Street Home Bird - and the char siew sausage roll A view of the lough from the seat Watching gulls crack the shells of mussels... Today I went to Holywood at 8 am and was so glad I did. For a start, there weren't an awful lot of people around. Then, it was so beautiful. Jac had just told me that Ma had fallen and she was in hospital. It looks like she may have fractured her spine but they couldn't tell if it was an old fracture or not. They then said that she shouldn't stay on her own and I said to my sister so, do they have a free maid which they can give us? Like what do they suggest we do? But we will see in the future. However, sitting there - I suddenly remembered sitting there years and years ago... on my own, with the misery of my marriage fallen about my ears. I'm so fucking glad that I no longer have to deal...
