Half marathon... what was I thinking?
Not an awful lot, clearly Around four months ago, maybe less, I agreed to do a half marathon. Because someone asked me. Yes, run all thirteen miles. Now, this was when I was running not very much... so this made me think, yes, I have to start training for this... and all through the summer hols in Singapore I ran. Around 25 minutes, 30 minutes a day. This is the actual amount of time which I enjoy running. Maybe another ten minutes, but this is the happy place. I do the run, very slowly and then I go home and do some sit ups and I feel great. Since returning to Ireland, more than a month ago, I stopped drinking alcohol. I have kept to that. Not a single drop. No wine, no beer, certainly no whisky or gin. Nothing. The net result of this has been slow by discernible weight loss and feeling much better all round. It is still a novelty to me. I'm sure it will all wear off, but until it does... well, I will probably keep blogging about it. Anyhow, I am a lot fitter tha...
