30.9.24 - New moon

Image
Yesterday was a powerful meet up. Being in touch with the spirit is nourishing and healing. our lives have been fractured over the many many millennia and we are reaching across the centuries to remember - literally - this. Stepping back into our heritage. Taking back what was ours. We are no longer listening to the naysayers. Those who laugh at us because it is 'unscientific'. Who laugh at our intuition. Who cannot experience but merely understand.  Yesterday's collective vision was that of light. The light of autumn. The light of the sun. The light of a chalice. The light of the aurora. The light of the sun. The light which brings us life. The light which brings us death. For years I have wanted to bring about a community of journeyers. And here we are. Creating the chalice on the day of the Angels. There is no coincidence that we do it beneath Michael's aegis. So many many years, centuries we have dwelt, bound by the chains of reli...

29.9.24 - Pictures

Sent by Lynette this week I never think of myself as beautiful, but damn, I have to say that when I look at this picture I have to go, I was quite pretty... but then so was everyone else! For a short while I was at the top... this was the day I was sick... So, from today, I am going to get back into the routine of things. Piano, writing, drawing, etc... the weeks go by so swiftly. Each day starts with dread - how will I teach this today, and it then ends with accomplishment. I did teach them this today. It is deeply satisfying and wonderful. I am feel incredibly grateful for everything which takes place. I put my thoughts on screen in the previous post and now I do some planning. Truth me told, I have planned everything. All I need to do now is to implement the plan.  I pause here not to talk about people who travel incessantly. I do feel sorry for those people. People whose lives are just void and they cannot find meaning apart from uselessly posting their ...

29.9.24 - Phew

The past week has been absolutely INSANE. I am completely EXHAUSTED. I was sick on Wednesday evening - BUT there were spots of loveliness. Like Oisin treating me on Wednesday evening at The Old Inn. We recalled the times we went there and giggled at the reminisced and were just so so happy. I said to Oisin, that if nothing good ever happens again. I will always come back to this. We talked about Singapore. About the past and the future. We had memories. We laughed and we appreciated. The fish was great. The chips were great. Oisin was so sweet. He said to me order anything.  I'm still not drinking which is great. Everytime I want to drink I think of the after the drink and I go, nah. It's ok I don't need to drink. Also, weirdly, I somehow understand that drinking doesn't lead to anywhere. It is mostly pointless. Perhaps it is my years of experience.  I am kinda proud how I don't do this anymore.  It is a sort of bliss. I'll start prepping for the stuff we are do...

23.9.24 - Michael time

It has been a busy past week. Lots done as usual and for some reason time is racing past us. I have loved every single moment we have had in school. I feel like a competent teacher finally. I was hoping to have done more yesterday by way of Admin but I did the goddess thing and that has worked. I find it so amazing that I'm going to do this weekend with Kate and Siuban. It is like a dream come true. After lunch which I made - the roast chicken which I am REALLY REALLY good at now, we watched an episode of The Penguin then I went to do the Lidl shop with Oisin. After we got home, we went for a swim and sauna. We said how much nicer it was when we were with someone chatting in the sauna. I mostly talked about the shamanic work which I did - I mean it's not really shamansism as such - it is drumming but its more about Journeying. Journeying and connecting to spirit.  I didn't run last week but it was a combination of illness and chaos to the usual schedule with Bec...

22.9.24 - Treats

Image
It has been a great three weks. The children seem to have understood the Maths which they have learnt. Those fundamentals are strong and they are on their way. I feel very relieved. There are a few whose learning still needs settling but by and large they are doing very well indeed. They remember reading and numeracy and in general they are on their way. We are shaping and creating sentences... and from now on we will be doing lots and lots of drills so they can understand tense and sentence structure. Oisin treated us to his first paycheck at Yaks. There was a lot of laughter and reminiscing. But also a sense of looking towards the future. Oisin hates Belfast and Ireland as much as I hated Singapore. I still think Singapore is hateful. It's a place full of toxic behaviours and despite the madnesses which hve taken place here, the land still holds the beauty and the memory. I have not been able to get up and get going at 4 but I think from now on I WILL not have my mobi...

17.9.24 - One more day

Image
My days I am grateful that my days pass peacefully and without drama. It is something I never take for granted. Yesterday there was school and then we had forest school. The sun was out and it felt like September for a day. We made tortillas and cheese pizzas. Children sat and whittled. The swung in hammocks. They played in the woods. It was like we were lost in psace and time. Once more. Truly what a privilege to be alive.

16.9.24 - Sleipnir

It has been a very very productive weekend. Being too ill to go out I had to stay in and I was too well to just be in bed. So I bit the bullet and got all the documentation done. It has been a minor nightmare. Life being held up by people who have been mostly useless. Chasing people who don't want to be chased - or can't be chased. It's like you can no longer phone people and ask them things. You have to email or chatbot them and then you don't know if the thing you asked for will arrive. Anyway, that I did. and I sorted the mess on my table. So my table is now beautiful. AND I played the piano for the first time in two weeks - well, one and a half weeks. Then I wrote a letter to Bart. Which was lovely. And then I sorted all the electricity bills. The day ended a the club sorting things and marking work. But I think I'm going to say goodbye to the soon.  If we need to I can always rejoin. But I just don...

15.9.24 - Recovery

Image
Ghin and Cash doing Airsoft I wrote a letter to Bart and here I am blogging. I feel miles and miles better after having been so ill yesterday and the Vit C is definitely the ticket. Just had a few swings of that and the sorethroat has disappeared. I just need to bed in the recovery for today so - in essence, not doing too much. All the running will have to keep for Tuesday. Delighted I've written to Bart, and now I'm going to play the piano after this, then tidy up the study - this month it is tidying the study. I may just have to bite the bullet and do the Ikea shelves although I would rather not.  Yesterday's mask for the hair and face was also therapeutic. I forget all the time how important moisturiser is. And still not drinking after two weeks in school AND the careful eating last week means that I have lost all the weight I put on in Singapore. BUT I'm going to continue doing the intermittent fast so that I get down to my ideal weight - because it'...

14.9.24 - Victory

Image
Well it's been done. Things have happened... organisation has taken place. I feel clean and vindicated.  I also managed to mask my face and hair and I feel so much better. I thought my skin and hair were gonners, it turns out I just needed to moisturize them. and in so doing I also feel loads better. Like ten years younger better. It looks like everything which was supposed to be done today has been done. With more besides. So tomorrow I'm getting up and I'll start with the blog and the writing of Atlantis again, the piano and then I can't go for a run because it will kill me. I need to rest. I'll run again on Tuesday. Then I'm going to organise the desk pile and further sort everything that needs sorting. Do the Elements equipment in the garage and finally in the afternoon, the finances.  I may go for a swim. I don't know if I'll keep the club. Everytime I go there I get sick and I can run on my own... I don't know. I don't like the ...

Ten years ago Today Well, I did the emails. AND I have started listing things I need to do. I will now work on the school admin/ library every Tuesday.  Right. I need to get that pile on the table sorted...

14.9.24 - Looking back

Image
Photos from 10 years ago The boys... The past two - or even three - weeks have been swift, but also so much has been packed in. I arrived back here EXACTLY a month ago. For the first three days it was jetlag and being dazed and confused. I also find that I'm very very tired all the time. But then, the week before school started, I found my groove and was running and playing the piano and doing organisational type things. I have been especially proud of the store room cupboard. It has all been tidied and labelled and I know EXACTLY where everything is in that story which is incredible. And I also cleaned out my table and threw stuff out. It has been pretty awesome. The past couple of weeks I've been running and swimming almost everyday and as a result, any weight I put on during the holidays has gone. However, I am also having the makings of a sorethroat and cough and the only thing which is keeping it at bay is Vit C and paracetamol. It sort of came back yesterday and was in fu...

14.9.24 - Sick again, naturally

Image
Past, present and future Our Field Studies Council ID charts! Da boys... all those years ago It has been an exhausting return to work and all. The weather has not helped. I do not ever remember it being so dreadful. The cold dampness at a level I have never remembered it before. It has rained all but 4 days since I have come back - which is very unusual. I know people think it rains all the time in Ireland, but it does not.  The jetlag, followed by the exhaustion and the feeling that I am constantly chasing my tail has been awful. PLUS I have been battling illness. And illness which quite a few people have already succumbed to.  On the plus side, the class is going great. They are now together and solid as a class. It feels like we will be able to take on a few more people. I know that children have had to leave, but such is life. They have done great though. They are all reading and writing and spelling to some degree and we are...
