We now have this trampoline in my mom's garden
in preparation for my sister and her children coming over

Listened to the threefold social order lecture as i put up the trampoline. Yesterday i was sooo tired that i ended up in bed at 11 am once again, mostly unable to move a limb because i was just completely exhausted. After sleeping i woke and then had lunch, watched some TV, mostly about this chap who bought a rainforest and Peter Taylor's invetigations in the smoking industry and then i began fixing the trampoline. This kinda continued till 8 pm then i eventually found out i had fixed something wrong, had to redo stuff and then decided i would do it tomorrow. I got home at 10 pm after watching I Heart 1980 which was presented by Larry Hagman.

Life is pretty dull but that's because i have had too much excitement in it really. I have now refixed the trampoline and will after this, prganise more stuff, clean out the car and then go to school to draw St Gall and his Bear. Next week we do some eurhythmy exercises which have to do with 'B' the holding gesture. It's a time of the year when the children are thrown into the periphery and we really need to hold them as our astral bodies start to take leave of the Earth and head towards the skies.

It was interesting listening to Steiner talk about the problem with linking education with politics, production and the economy. Teachers need to make their own decisions and they have to think about the cultural and spiritual life of the children. If they don't do this then human beings will not have the ability to self govern and this will result in chaos. I have to agree. I think that it is mandatory that people learn history and read all of Shakespeare's plays. If they can't watch them at least. It is from reading all of his history plays actually that i realised what a load of bollocks personal power and glory were.

I never understand why people want personal power or why titles are so attractive, or what the attraction of being very rich is. All i know is that beyond a certain point of material needs being met, beyond certain neccesities in life, beyond the ability to self actualise, everything else is surplus to requirements. If you want to make a difference go out and make a difference. It really is that simple. Stop farting around and waiting for this or that to occur. Get off your ass and do what you believe in.

By and large the universe will conspire with what you want. Really it will. And if it doesn't, there will be a reason. But if the thing which you want is right for you and right for the world, then it will happen. And sometimes you will have to wait for awhile, but that is ok, because you will learn lots of things while you wait. You will have fun! So, there are no excuses for not self actualising. You don't need a whole heap of anything - money, time, ability, another life - for this to occur. All you need is some conviction and imagination.

And you also need to get off your ass, because if you don't get off your ass nothing will happen.

Right i think it is time for me to get off my ass and do some work. I will go to school, clean the classroom, get St Gall done and then do some planning. I think i might even visit a garden centre - the one in Donaghadee maybe.
