Days of our lives
Ma and Ghin. Every morning my mother goes to church and then she waters and maintains her garden. It keeps her sane - i'm sure she doesn't realise it, but it does. This morning Ghin and Oisin joined her. oisin decided that the driveway needed a wash. To show you how much my mother loves him, she did not shout NONSENSE!!! RUBBISH!!! but allowed him to wash it. I asked her if she had bought shares in PUB. Unfortunately, she had not. We had a great time anyway.
After i took this i noticed that it looked a little like Dante's Inferno - more specifically, the various circles of hell. Singapore is covered in these conrete malls which people go to for fun, or if they have nothing to do. It is filled with loiterers and vagrants - all well dressed - who just sit all day, enjoying the free air conditioning. In fact a New Paper article once uncovered that these shopping centres were day care for the elderly, whose chldren deposited them there for the day with some money and a bottle of water and collected them in the evening. They spend the whole day going from shopping centre to shopping centre, like some lost soul.
The hairdresser Oisin got his hair cut at. They are Malay barbers who have traditionally cut men's hair. My dad swears by them - he says they have more style. This one gave Oisin a close crop and shaved his side burns. He looked so adorable.
Decided to do shots of today - just a day in the life of. So tired, despite having gone to bed at 6.30. Ghin refused stay down after i put him to bed. It was a hot day and he couldn't sleep in the afternoon. So he had to sleep early. This means that he'll probably wake at 6 am. i've been dreading going back. The thought of having to cope with work as well as children has really made me so anxious. I have never felt like this before. My attitude is usually, i'll be able to handle it, no worries, but i'm afraid i CAN'T handle it.
