Two weeks gone

It takes forever for me to get access to anything on this computer. My mother has asked my dad to see to it. Two weeks has gone past and i've tried doing stuff, esepcially checking on the email and can't get access to the thing. It's a bit annoying, but also quite therapeutic being slightly unplugged. Peter, Oisin and my dad will be going for the National Day Preview tonight. It supposed to be taking place on the world's largest pontoon. We love doing it like this here in Singapore. World's largst, tallest, fastest, etc. When the McDonald's opened in Singapore at East Coast Parkway it broke sales for all McDonalds in the world selling the most amount of food on the first day of opening sales. McDonalds...sigh. It's a bit bizarre. I must say i have come far. Last night Jacq and i sang the national anthem and Count on Me Singapore. I sang it mostly with nostalgia and a hint of irony. But mostly nostalgia. When i was 14 and singing it for real. Have no idea what Peter made of it.

Oisin can't wait to go to the parade. It is raining...oh chicken rice!!! I can smell it from in here. Must dash. I have put on not a few inches since i've arrived and have promised that i'll start exercising regularly next week. It will soon be Ghin's seventh month. We went to the Ang Mo Kio hub today. God it was so crowded. Everywhere is crowded, but the stuff on sale is amazing. So many people crammed into such a small space. And all buying something. I must go now, but from now on i'll be updating regularly. That's the idea anyways.

The suspension of the narrative. I gave this some thought. It was almost as if i needed to transit from one space to another and i want to see things as they are. But in a place like Singapore there are few spaces for that kind of contemplation. Just a continuous stream of things - especially living with your own tow children and parents. I am unable to get away to do any thinking at all because Ghin is even more clingy.
